I am a little "red" in the face.

I have been thinking all these things over in my head alot lately, as it has been in the forefront of every news story and discussion these days.

Some people say that I should not voice my opinion, because I do not vote. I disagree.

There are certain websites I frequent, certain forums, that have threads going about politics and the election. I try my best to stay away from these threads as people can be very ugly when it comes to politics and their choice for president.

I may not be super educated on the topic, but I know in my heart what my morals and values are and they seem to fall in line with one candidate.

I don't understand why people need to be so mean, hateful and ugly while discussing their views. Is it because they are not armed with the knowledge to carry on a educated conversation, so they must stoop to mud slinging to supposedly get their point across?

I know I should not care, but as anyone knows who knows me, i wear my heart on my sleeve and some of the angry words thrown around make me want to stand up for what I believe is right. But when I do, I know I will be burned at the stake, because my views are not "what everybody else thinks"

I'm conflicted.
